Themed Entertainment Association to host event at Universal Studios during TEA INSPIRE

TEA INSPIRE State of the Industry

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, has announced that it has organised an evening event at Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) on 14 March from 7 – 10 pm. Attendees will be able to take advantage of the association’s exclusive access to the theme park’s Lower Lot, home of Super Nintendo World.

During the three-hour event, guests can enjoy rides and attractions such as Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride, and TRANSFORMERS: The Ride–3D. There will also be hosted food and soft drinks from Universal’s themed restaurants and venues, cash bars with two hosted drink tickets per person, and dessert and coffee stations.

INSPIRE the Night at USH

The event will also include a 45-minute panel discussion featuring insights from some of the lead creatives, vendors and suppliers involved in creating Universal Studios Hollywood’s most successful attractions.

During this session, moderated by John Sous, VP of CityWalk, attendees can hear from Scot Burklin, VP of attractions and operational planning at USH; Jon Corfino, VP of Universal Creative (UC) at USH; Debi Henningsen, senior VP rev ops, food and retail at USH; Lori Super, assistant director of construction for UC at USH; and Nazanin Zarkesh, senior director of facility design for UC at USH.

TEA INSPIRE, a leading networking and education conference for the attractions industry, takes place in Hollywood, California, from 14 – 15 March. The conference is accompanied by the TEA INSPIRE Leadership Forum, which is taking place from 13 to 14 March, and the annual Thea Awards Gala on 16 March.

The TEA recently announced the panellists for the State of the Industry session which will take place on 15 March, moderated by PGAV Destinations’ Al Cross.
