The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, has provided details of its latest learning and networking event for next year, which will take place near Germany’s Black Forest.
Members will gather at the region’s leading theme park, Europa-Park, from 3 – 6 May 2023, with a series of conference sessions tailored to advance the sector. The TEA SATE (Storytelling, Architecture, Technology, Experience) event will be run by the association’s Europe and Middle East division.
“More than simply a disruption, or reaction to the inevitable cycles of life and business, we are experiencing a radical, and complete change in our industry,” says a representative of the TEA. “We no longer need permission to break old habits. We’re being unapologetic about taking new steps. This fundamental changeover is not one big idea, it’s a great many small ideas – come join the revolution.”
Schedule
The most recent TEA SATE took place at Liseberg in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the newly announced event will follow a similar format.
TEA members will make their arrival at Europa-Park on Wednesday 3 May, with speaker rehearsals at 11 am, and a buffet dinner in the evening from 7 pm.
The conference officially kicks off for attendees on the following day from 9 am till 4.30 pm, followed by a themed dinner at 6.30 pm till late. Conference day two on Friday 5 May starts later at 10 am till 4 pm, followed by dinner at 7 pm. Details for 6 May are yet to be announced.
