Art the Clown from the Terrifier film franchise is set to terrify visitors during this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Described as a “twisted funhouse”, the new haunted house is inspired by the slasher film franchise and will be “one of the goriest experiences” in the history of Halloween Horror Nights.
Created, written and directed by Damien Leone and produced by Phil Falcone along with Dark Age Cinema Productions, Terrifier debuted in 2016 and was followed by Terrifier 2 in 2022, and then Terrifier 3 in 2024.
In the films, Art the Clown is a supernatural slasher who terrorises the fictional town of Miles County, New York on Halloween, torturing his victims in creatively cruel and stomach-churning ways.
At Halloween Horror Nights, guests will experience “an unfathomable level of gore” as they avoid becoming Art’s next victim, Universal Orlando said.
“Terrifier is a grisly haunted house oozing with a new sense of terror that takes guests into Art the Clown’s gruesome Funhouse, which first appeared in Terrifier 2,” the resort added.

Guests will be “overwhelmed by the sights, sounds, smells and dread of Art’s grotesque kills, gleefully displayed for all to see”.
They will meet characters including Vicky and the Little Pale Girl, and witness spectacular scenes from the Terrifier franchise.
Highlights include the Clown Café, a revolting bathroom, and a Christmas nightmare.

Halloween Horror Nights begins on 29 August at Universal Orlando and 4 September at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Other IPs to be transformed into haunted houses for this year’s event include Friday the 13th‘s Jason Voorhees and Amazon Prime Video’s drama series Fallout.
Meanwhile, Universal is already expanding its Universal Horror Unleashed concept, with a second location now planned for Chicago.
