Tiana's Bayou Adventure is due to open at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom this summer. The new ride will debut later in 2024 at Disneyland.
Set after the events of Walt Disney Animation Studios' 2009 filmThe Princess and the Frog, the new attraction replaces the former Splash Mountainlog flume ride.
Disney has also shared a first look at a new Tiana animatronic that features in the ride. She will be joined by dozens of new animatronic figures created by Disney's Imagineers.
Riders on Tiana's Bayou Adventure will take a musical adventure through the bayou with Tiana, Naveen and Louis.

They will hear new, original music and popular songs from the film, made in collaboration with award-winning artists PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard.
Additionally, stars of the film are reprising their roles for the new attraction. These include Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, Michael Leon Wooley as Louis, and Anika Noni Rose as Tiana.
“Tiana’s Bayou Adventure builds on the story of Princess Tiana, a character whose pride and perseverance reminds us of a universal truth: within us lies the potential to make our dreams come true,” saidCarmen Smith, senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Imagineering.
In September, Disneyland opened Tiana’s Palace, a new eatery inspired byThe Princess and the Frog and based on Tiana's dream restaurant in the film.
Musical trip through the bayou
Earlier this month, Disney confirmed it will start opening new experiences at all of its locations from 2025 as part of its $60 billioninvestment over the next decade.
“We’re already hard at work determining where we’re going to place our new investments and what they will be,” said Disney CEOBob Iger.
“You can pretty much conclude that there’ll be all over – meaning every single one of our locations will be the beneficiary of increased investment and thus increased capacity – including on thehigh seas, where we’re currently building three more ships.”
