Triotech celebrates VIP opening of Ghostbusters 5D ride at Heide Park

When you want to celebrate the opening of the new Ghostbusters 5D ride at Heide Park, who yer gonna call?

Model Alena Gerber and actress Jenny Elvers, of course. The VIPs were equipped with laser pistols, ghost trap and 3D glasses to embark on the ultimate interactive ghost hunt experience.

Northern Germany’s largest theme park has invested 7.2 million Euros in the movie-based immersive attraction. Featuring a host of surprises and special effects, the ride is aimed at all ages from six years upwards.

Created by leading designer, developer and manufacturer of rides and attractions, Triotech, Ghostbusters 5D – The Ultimate Ghost Hunt takes a team of up to eight people on a thrilling journey to New York City. The spooky adventure propels them through three mysterious worlds themed on the Mayans, Pirates and the Orient.

“The ride in the ECTO-X through the spooky warehouse is unique,” commented Elvers. “It is something I have not experienced before. I felt like I was in another world. I especially liked the fact that young kids and adults form a team are active together.”

Gerber, who is pregnant, gave up her place on the ride to her sister Deborah. But, she said the ride looked like a lot of fun for the whole family.

“My sister and I have a passion for the Ghostbusters since our children’s days,” explained the model. “That is why we are all very enthusiastic about the fact that we can now become real ghost hunters at Heide Park Resort.”

No doubt the VIPs were keen to check out the Ghostbusters merchandise items in a new shop associated with the ride. The resort also offers fans the chance to stay in four new Ghostbusters-themed rooms.

“I am happy that with Ghostbusters 5D, we are able to offer the third family adventure in a row and the first indoor attraction of Heide Park to our guests. The complex technology was a special challenge for the entire team. So, the positive response is all the more welcome,” added Sabrina de Carvalho, Divisional Director of Heide Park Resort.
