Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced that its latest interactive dark ride, Into The Deep, is set to be installed at Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia.

The firm has been chosen to design, engineer, manufacture and install the bespoke interactive dark ride for the new Qiddiya Investment Company theme park, the first Six Flags park to be designed and built outside of North America. Situated in the Discovery Springs area, this immersive experience will span over 2400 square metres (26,000 square feet), and the exclusive media content will be crafted entirely by Triotech’s in-house studio in Montreal.

“Our global leadership in interactive experiences and our proven track record in providing turnkey attractions positioned us to help deliver a unique ride for Six Flags Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia,” says Ernest Yale, president and CEO of Triotech. “Our dedicated team is excited to be involved in such a unique and ground-breaking endeavor!”

A unique new ride

In this unique interactive dark ride, guests will embark on an exciting underwater trip to restore the beauty and wonder of life below. Triotech’s dynamic patented riding system allows visitors to ride in four-player carts with rapid rotation and acceleration. Each rider will have an unhindered view as they sit side by side, creating a truly immersive experience.

The ride, which includes over nine interactive media-based scenes and visual effects, was created to engage visitors of all ages.

Six Flags Qiddiya City will be a significant attraction for both Qiddiya City and Riyadh. Covering 320,000 square metres, the theme park will house 28 rides and attractions, 10 of which will be thrill coasters and 18 family—and small child-friendly.

Qiddiya City is Qiddiya‘s first project; it is a brand-new international destination constructed on the principles of play. Situated in the centre of the Tuwaiq Mountains and only forty minutes from Riyadh, this dynamic city blends sports, entertainment, and culture like never before. When complete, it will provide a high quality of life to both residents and visitors, with a global centre for gaming and esports, a multi-use stadium, golf courses, a motorsports area, and a water theme park, in addition to the Six Flags theme park.

With the “Power of Play” concept at its core, Qiddiya City is built to accommodate some of the planet’s biggest sporting events, festivals, concerts, and cultural gatherings. Its urban design also incorporates sustainability and well-being, with office, retail, and residential areas blending with large green areas, cultural hubs, and first-rate medical and educational institutions.

Earlier this year, Triotech announced that SuperBlaster, its new attendant-free interactive multiplayer coin-op ride, is ready to ship to customers worldwide, following successful demonstrations at IAAPA Expo 2023 in Orlando and EAG in London.
