The company introduced the new project, set for Spring 2023, at IAAPA Expo

Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, announced a new project with LOTTE WORLD in Seoul at this year’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando. An interactive walkthrough attraction, BATTLEGROUNDS WORLD AGENT, will open at the park in Spring 2022, set in the universe of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, a popular video game IP from KRAFTON.

The custom walkthrough attraction, covering over 750 square metres, will have three zones, featuring interactivity, immersion, media, motion, and projection mapping, hosting groups of 16 people at a time. It will be completed by Triotech’s in-house studio, engineering, and R&D teams, and includes design, story, show, theming, audio, as well as special effects.

A unique new experience

“It’s an honour to have been chosen by LOTTE WORLD to design this new attraction,” says Ernest Yale, president and CEO of Triotech. “LOTTE WORLD is a reference in Asia in terms of entertainment and innovation and we are all very excited to create this unique and innovative experience.”

Mr Choi, CEO of LOTTE WORLD adds: “LOTTE WORLD is proud to present this new project for our park in Seoul. We believe visitors can create wonderful memories because this innovative and immersive experience with the universe of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS will be enjoyable to them.”

BATTLEGROUNDS WORLD AGENT will be designed to appeal to both fans of the PUBG universe as well as those who have not played the video games before. Guests board a C-130 transport plane set to travel to the battleground on the island of Erangel. However, debris from an explosion near an abandoned nuclear facility hits the plane and forces it to crash land at the Sosnovka Military Base. Then, the 16 survivors must team up to overcome new challenges and enemies.

LOTTE WORLD and Triotech have previously worked together on projects such as a 40-seat XD Dark Ride interactive theatre attraction.

Triotech recently provided a number of installations for French FEC operator La Tête dans les Nuages, operating across urban centres including Lyon and Paris.
