Tickets for Epic Universe could go on sale soon

Universal Epic Universe, the fourth theme park at Universal Orlando, could open as early as Memorial Day weekend next year, WSJ reports.

The report in the Wall Street Journal cites sources from Universal. In addition to a potential opening on Memorial Day weekend, the report suggests that tickets for the new theme park may go on sale as soon as this month.

If the report is accurate, it’s likely that Universal Orlando will announce an official opening date for Epic Universe in the near future.

Otherwise, we know that Universal’s biggest theme park in the US is on track to open next year. It will offer more than 50 attractions, entertainment experiences, and retail and F&B outlets across five themed lands, as follows:

Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of MagicHow to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park.

Jeff Polk, executive VP and general manager of the park, recently discussed the park’s use of immersive technologies like omnidirectional ride vehicles, motion simulation and special effects.

Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, for example, is billed as one of Universal’s most impressive rides to date.

“The scale and detail of this ride is truly epic. I think it’s going to be one of the great rides in the world,” says Peter van Roden, senior vice president of global themed entertainment at Warner Bros. Discovery.

Kim Gritzer, creative director at Universal Creative, says: “Our ride is so technologically advanced, there are so many layers of elements.”
