Epic Universe is going to be a game-changer

Universal Orlando has released a new video that shows off the resort’s upcoming status as a four-park destination with the addition of Epic Universe.

Opening on 22 May, Epic Universe is the fourth gate at Universal Orlando in Florida. It has been described as Universal’s most ambitious theme park ever.

“Universal Orlando has always been a family vacation destination,” says Karen Irwin, Universal Orlando president and COO, in the video.

Universal Destinations & Experiences’ chairman and CEO, Mark Woodbury, says:

“Over the past 35 years we’ve grown to a fully developed, integrated resort destination comprised of multiple theme parks, hotels, CityWalk; everything you could possibly imagine to spend your entire week to create a full vacation destination.”

Irwin adds, “Epic Universe is going to be a game changer in terms of how much time that people are going to want to spend here.

“They don’t have to think about anything, but they get to feel everything.”

Universal Orlando offers “total experience”

Epic Universe includes a theme park with five themed lands, as well as three hotels, shops and F&B.

The park’s executive creative director Steve Tatham says in the video: “Epic Universe is a whole new kind of theme park.

“We’re creating these five immersive worlds, each one of them an amazing, compelling, storytelling experience.”

Universal Creative’s chief creative officer Brian Robinson adds, “We’ve pushed every boundary possible [with Epic Universe].”

Tatham says, “By going to Universal Orlando Resort, you get the total experience.”

In the video, Irwin says Universal Orlando has “a slate of new attractions that are already in development for every one of our parks”.

“We’re already planning for the next thing at Epic… We’re bigger and better than we’ve ever been before,” she says.

Universal Orlando recently released “portal teasers” for Epic’s themed lands. The resort later launched the next phase of tickets and packages for the park.
