Set in New York City, the immersive ride combines live, dimensional and animated characters with hyper-realistic media and projection mapping.
The innovative experience invites guests to assume the roles of stray puppies looking for their forever homes at a pet adoption event. Ride vehicles resemble cardboard boxes.
‘The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!’ uses state-of-the-art technology, combining facial recognition with enhanced gesture tracking.
It will be located on Pets Place, previously called Baker Street, adjacent to ‘Despicable Me Minion Mayhem’ and ‘Super Silly Fun Land’.

Elsewhere, the Orange County (Florida) Commission has voted to approve funding of up to $125m to help fund the extension of Kirkman Road to Epic Universe, which is set to open in 2023.
It’s thought the theme park will feature rides and attractions based on How to Train Your Dragon and The Secret Life of Pets. It may also have a Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World.
