Universal Orlando to enhance its CityWalk store

Universal Orlando is expanding its flagship Universal Studios Store to include new areas dedicated to two lands coming to Epic Universe.

When it debuts in 2025, the expanded Universal Studios Store at Universal CityWalk will offer merchandise inspired by Super Nintendo World and all three Wizarding World of Harry Potter locations.

These are Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios, and Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe.

This means that for the first time, Butterbeer will be available to guests outside of Universal Orlando’s theme parks, as a special counter at the store will serve cold, frozen, hot and vegan Butterbeer.

The Super Nintendo World-themed area of the store will have a dedicated entrance inspired by the worlds and characters seen in Nintendo video games.

Merchandise on offer in this Universal Studios Store will feature characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi and Donkey Kong.

Universal Epic Universe, the fourth gate at Universal Orlando, includes a theme park, as well as three hotels, shops and F&B.

The theme park’s five themed lands have all been unveiled now. As well as the Ministry of Magic and Super Nintendo World, they are Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Celestial Park.

Epic Universe’s new ride, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, was unveiled earlier this month. Billed as one of Universal’s most impressive rides to date, it will offer immersive environments, powerful storytelling, and unique ride technology.

“Guests are going to walk through the Floo passage and see the Ministry of Magic at its full scale, full glory, full glamour,” said Hope Glomski, director of global themed entertainment at Warner Bros. Discovery.

“The scale and detail of this ride is truly epic. I think it’s going to be one of the great rides in the world,” said Peter van Roden, senior vice president of global themed entertainment at Warner Bros. Discovery.

Epic Universe is on track to open in 2025.
