The resort developer has also announced updates at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta plus plans for VidantaWorld, a collection of three Dream Parks

Grupo Vidanta already has a wide portfolio of entertainment and destination resorts in Mexico – and is expanding still further. The company has just announced a clutch of new additions to its portfolio, plus major upgrades to existing attractions.

The boutique luxury cruise line, Vidanta Cruises, aims to offer “all the sophistication and privacy of a yacht with the extensive amenities of a cruise,” says the company. Its inaugural vessel will be named Vidanta Elegant and the ship has been designed with bespoke anti-COVID protocols. In particular, outdoor space has been maximised but special cleaning protocols will also be employed.

“Vidanta is proud to bring a revolutionary new approach to cruising,” said Iván Chávez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta. “We have built a legacy 45 years in the making based on the extraordinary luxury and personalized service offered by our resort vacations. Now we’re extending that legacy to the open sea while utilizing our unique perspective as a Mexican company to give access to the hidden gems of the coastline and rarely offered transformative cultural experiences.”

Vidanta Elegant features 149 staterooms and suits and a one-to-one passenger/crew ration. The ship has six public decks and dining areas, alongside 11 bars and lounges, a spa and fitness centre, top deck pool and an entertainment venue.

VidantaWorld – new immersive 830-acre development

VidantaWorld at Nuevo Vallarta is set to expand into a ground-breaking three-in-one entertainment destination. Three Dream Parks will ultimately combine into one vast immersive entertainment complex. The first phase is set to open next year with a fire village set in the jungle. On offer will be a variety of attractions, including world class rides and experiential dining.

Further parks will include a water park and a nature and adventure park. A new Cirque du Soleil zone will be created, including a dedicated space for shows.

World’s first beach gondola at SkyDream Parks

The new state of the art aerial gondola is the world’s first ever beach resort gondola. It connects all 2,500 acres of Nuevo Vallarta with a four mile loop that stretches between the beach and the upcoming parks.

A gondola is also promised for Vidanta Riviera Maya where it will link the beach area with attractions such as the Jungala Aqua experience and Cirque du Soleil JOYÀ.

New developments at Beachland and The Estates

The Beachland resort and The Estates have undergone extensive updates over the last year. The pool meets beach area of Beachland has been updated with new walkways, restaurants, lounge area, pools and pool bar. Further phases will continue the transformation.

Meanwhile a new suspension bridge has been built over the river at The Estates. Vidanta has also announced that The Estates, the company’s luxury in nature brand, is also under construction at Vidanta Riviera Maya and Vidanta East Cape.
