Wonderla Announces Expansion Plans: Five Cities in Five Years, Resorts and Rebrand

News
Wonderla new brand

Wonderla Holidays, India’s leading amusement park operator, has unveiled their new brand identity.  They have revealed their ambitions to expand into five cities in five years and add resorts to their parks.

With the new brand Wonderla aims to reposition itself as a resort operator, going beyond the theme parks and thrill rides that the company is best known for.  Chikku, the monkey, has been dropped from the logo but will be retained as a brand mascot.

Currently Wonderla owns and operates three amusement parks in Kochi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru as well as a resort in Bengaluru.

A fourth ₹350 crore park in Chennai will start construction later this year, with plans to open in two years, and there are plans for a fifth park in Goa, Maharashtra or Gujarat.

Wonderla recorded a 30 per cent increase in visitors in the last financial year attracting 2.6 million visitors across its three parks.

Resort expansion is planned for the Kochi and Hyderbad properties once attendance reaches one million visitors a year to each park.

The company’s new brand campaign including a theme song will be rolled out from April 6.
