Tom Maller, the founder of Immersive Octopus, is an acclaimed international director and creative director specialising in immersive theatre. His work to date has spearheaded the immersive theatrical identity and experiences. At Immersive Octopus, he supervises all creative output across every aspect of the business and leads the development of larger projects.

The company's vision is to elevate the standard of excellence throughout the immersive landscape. Recent collaborations include producing Peaky Blinders: The Rise for The Everywhere Group and The Paddington Bear Experience for Path Entertainment. Additionally, it has worked directly with major film studios, including Disney and Sony Pictures, on creative development projects.

Additionally, Octopus Immersive focuses on providing custom, premium experiences in the luxury events and tourism industries.

Having been part of Secret Cinema’s creative team for over ten years, Maller has directed films and shows including Dr Strangelove, 28 Days Later, Blade Runner, Romeo + Juliet, and Casino Royale, which opened in London in 2019 and moved to Shanghai in 2020.

He also directed Arcane: Enter The Undercity, a pioneering new show based on the world of League of Legends in collaboration with Riot Games, which opened in Los Angeles, as well as Doctor Who: Time Fracture, which won Best Immersive Production at the Broadway World UK/West End Awards.

Maller is the co-creator of the UK’s longest-running immersive theatre show, The Great Gatsby.
