Did you know this about the Tokyo Disney Parks?

For the fiscal year (FY) ending March 31, 2009

70.1% of all guests to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea were more than 18 years of age, the majority of them 18-49 years old.

71.6% of all guests to both Tokyo Disney parks were female.

Occupancy rates for the following Disney hotels approximated the following rates: 95% for Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, 86%89% for Disney Ambassador Hotel and 85% for Palm & Fountain Terrace Hotel.

Parking and attendance

…Including overflow parking spaces, together there are enough spaces for approximately 20, 000 cars at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

…Since the opening of Tokyo DisneySea in 2002, attendance at the two Tokyo Disney Parks has grown from 22.1 million guests in 2002, to 27.2 million guests in 2009. Attendance increased annually during this time period, with the exception of the years 2005, 2006 and 2008.

…To help boost attendance, anniversary events are held every 5 years at the Tokyo Disney parks…

…Attendance tends to drop at these parks for the year following an anniversary event. There were anniversary events at Tokyo DisneySea in 2004 and 2009.
