Design plans for Al Wasl Plaza including a huge dome structure for Dubai’s Expo 2020 have been revealed. A public tender for the building is expected to be issued shortly.
The dome will be a focal point linking to the three other main pavilions, and its plaza area will be used for events during the Expo.At 65 metres tall with a diameter of 150m, the dome has the capacity to hold 10,000 visitors and will feature fountains, waterfalls, parks and courtyards.
The structure will be able to be used as a 360-degree screen at night.
Construction is expected to be finished by October 2019.
