Tokyo Disneyland® Park have announced that Star Tours: The Adventures Continue will open in Tomorrowland on May 7, 2013 to coincide with the Tokyo Disney Resort 30th anniversary.

The revamped Star Tours Attraction has been updated from the 1989 version to include 3D images, an advanced ride system and more than 50 possible story combinations to give guests a unique experience with every ride. Guests will board a Starspeeder 1000 with C-3PO and R2-D2 at the helm and race through a random selection of multiple scenes familiar from the Star Wars films, with a chance of encountering Yoda or Darth Vader.
The 7 billion yen ride will last for 4 minutes 30 seconds, with 40 seats in 6 cabins.
