Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea Parks; Attendance Figures for the First Half of Fiscal Year 2008 Blooloop

Tokyo Disney Resort® has announced that it had achieved the highest ever combined attendance at Tokyo Disneyland® Park and Tokyo DisneySea® Park for the first half of this fiscal year (April 1 to September 30, 2008). Total attendance amounted to 13, 048, 000 persons, which is an increase of 7.2% or 877, 000 persons from the same period last year.

The first half of this fiscal year coincided with the first half of the yearlong Tokyo Disney Resort 25th Anniversary celebration, which started on April 15, 2008. The anniversary year opened with a new daytime parade “Jubilation!” at Tokyo Disneyland, and also featured various 25th anniversary commemorative programs throughout the Resort. Moreover, the new Tokyo Disneyland® Hotel opened in July, adding to the appeal of Tokyo Disney Resort.

With this result, the attendance forecast for fiscal year 2008 has been increased to 26, 500, 000 persons (record high figure), up by 700, 000 from the initial forecast of 25, 800, 000 persons announced at the beginning of this fiscal year.
