Universal's new Epic Universe boosted revenue and delivered record earnings for Comcast's theme parks segment in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Universal parks reported $2.893 billion in revenue for Q4 2025, an increase of 21.9 percent from the same quarter in 2024.

Revenue for theme parks increased due to higher revenue at Universal's US parks, boosted by the opening of Epic Universe in May 2025.

Adjusted EBITDA for theme parks surpassed the $1bn mark in a quarter, with the division reporting $1.035bn, up 23.5 percent compared to the prior-year quarter.

Comcast said the increase in EBITDA more than offset higher operating expenses due to costs associated with Epic Universe.

"At parks, the opening of Epic Universe is already acting as a catalyst across Orlando, driving longer stays, higher per cap spending, and increased demand across our parks and hotels, reinforcing the attractive returns we see from continued investment in this business," said Comcast president Mike Cavanagh in an earnings call.

Comcast's chief financial officer Jason Armstrong said: "We are really pleased with what we are seeing from Epic, which continues to drive higher per cap spending and attendance across the entirety of the resort.

"While we are not yet operating at full run rate capacity, we have made meaningful progress expanding ride throughput, and we remain focused on scaling further over the next several quarters, with higher attendance, stronger per caps, and additional operating leverage over time."
