The Osaka 2025 World Expo invited participating countries to "Design Future Society for Our Lives." The USA Pavilion turned that premise into an invitation: “Imagine What We Can Create Together.”
The USA Pavilion, inspired by historic Japanese architecture, is an embodiment of the strength of the American spirit, celebrating innovation, and global cultural exchange
The pavilion was created by Trahan Architects, BRC Imagination Arts, ES Global and Alchemy working closely with the U.S. Department of State and various government agencies and strategic partners. The USA Pavilion invites visitors to immerse themselves in a vibrant experience of the United States, featuring iconic views of the country, and exhibitions that celebrate the American spirit and beauty.
A Welcoming Gateway
The USA Pavilion is located within Expo 2025’s Grand Ring, sitting halfway between the Forest of Tranquillity and the East Gate Entrance Plaza. The pavilion is inspired by natural and urban canyons. Two triangular buildings create a central plaza and serve as expansive wings with canyon like LED screens depicting iconic and dynamic images of American landmarks, landscapes, daily life and our desire to explore.
At the heart of the USA Pavilion is a ‘floating’ translucent cube, an icon of the pavilion’s architecture. It is instantly recognizable from the Grand Ring that encircles the Expo’s national pavilions.
Imagination & Collaboration
The pavilion’s interior exhibition program engages Expo visitors through a variety of dynamic experiences.
“Spark”, the pavilion's mascot, embodies the "spark of imagination and creativity" within us all. This joyful animated character guides visitors through the fully immersive imagination realms that showcase American opportunity, entrepreneurship, culture, creativity and innovation. Featuring groundbreaking innovations in agriculture, nanotechnology, advanced materials, and aerospace technologies, the USA Pavilion highlights America’s global leadership and commitment to empowering lives.
An upbeat musical song titled “Together,” combined with a full musical score and stunning visual storytelling, inspires visitors, bringing them to the crescendo immersive experience, a space "Launch" that delivers the compelling message: "Join Us!” This celebration of American excellence provides the spark of imagination that will shape a brighter future for everyone.
Youth Ambassadors – “Faces of America”
Over 80 Youth Ambassadors at the USA Pavilion serve as friendly cultural guides, embodying the joyful spirit of the United States. These young Americans represent 45 states and speak over 20 languages. They enrich the visitor experience, making the pavilion a welcoming space for all.
Hospitality & Restaurant – A Taste of America
The pavilion's hospitality offerings include a full-service restaurant that showcases regional American dishes, including the popular “Spark Burger.” The open-air courtyard dining area hosts a rich program of cultural and live performances, including jazz, R&B, and Native American hoop dance.
Events Program – Celebrating American Innovation and Culture
The USA Pavilion's events program is a vibrant tapestry of performances, workshops, and cultural events. These include live performances, interactive exhibits, and cultural celebrations. These events entertain and educate visitors on the collaborative spirit and innovative mindset that define the United States.
