Great Wolf Resorts has broken ground on its latest water park in Naples, Florida. Once open in 2024, Great Wolf Lodge South Florida will be the company’s 21st resort in North America.
The $250 million resort is Great Wolf’s first resort in Florida. Home to 500 family suites and a 100,000-square-foot indoor water park, it is located on 20 acres of land in Collier County.
“As we look to expand the Great Wolf Lodge experience to new markets, we are excited to place our newest resort in South Florida,” says Murray Hennessy, CEO of Great Wolf Resorts.

“This resort will offer families in the Sunshine State an easy, carefree escape, where parents and kids have the opportunity to laugh and play together and strengthen their family bonds.”
Highlights include an indoor water park with body slides, tube slides, raft rides, activity pools and splash areas, as well as a 62,000-square-foot family entertainment centre (FEC).
Known as the Great Wolf Adventure Park, this will feature activities such as MagiQuest, an adventure game where players battle goblins and dragons using interactive magic wands.
There will also be family-friendly events and activities, and several dining options. When Great Wolf Lodge South Florida opens, it will create more than 600 jobs.

“South Florida has been on our radar for some time, and now, thanks in large part to the tremendous support from Collier County as well our shareholders Blackstone and Centerbridge Partners, we’re excited to make this resort a reality,” Hennessy adds.
Great Wolf Resorts is North America’s largest operator of indoor water park resorts. It can be found in states including Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Texas, Massachusetts, North Carolina, California, Colorado and Arizona.
Earlier this year, Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut announced plans for a new Great Wolf Lodge. In addition, a Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville, Maryland is scheduled to open in summer 2023.
