MAT Filtration Technologies, a manufacturer of high-efficiency water filtration equipment and provider of engineering services, has announced that it has formed an exclusive regional partnership with ALEC Engineering and Contracting LLC, to cover the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
MAT Filtration Technologies and its Norwegian branch, MAT-KULING, provide high-efficiency equipment and services in water filtration technology, serving aquariums and zoos, water parks, swimming pools and more.
Providing turnkey solutions
ALEC is a large construction company that is part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai and has related businesses operating in the GCC and Africa. Thanks to this new strategic partnership, it will cover water filtration and water treatment projects in the Middle East, with a specific focus on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This covers water parks, commercial swimming pools, dolphinariums, zoos, public aquariums and aqua theme projects.
The agreement will provide a turnkey solution for many planned projects in the region, including entertainment aqua projects, which will use MAT-KULING’s water filtration systems.
MAT-KULING’s Animal Life Support Systems need less fresh water and maintain a healthy environment for the fish and aquatic animals in zoos and aquariums.
New water parks in Saudi Arabia
In particular, this partnership will focus on the development of new water parks in Saudi Arabia, allowing operators to benefit from a one-stop-shop for filtration technologies and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) construction. It will draw on the experience and expertise of both companies to provide competitiveness and fast delivery for upcoming projects.
MAT-KULING has over 10 years of experience in the manufacturing of filtration equipment and has evolved its products over time to ensure it is operator-friendly and durable enough to cope with the unique climate of the Middle East, with its humid summers. The new regional partnership means that the companies are able to adhere to strict environmental regulations around energy consumption and the use of sustainable materials.

It is now working on the New Mazatlan Aquarium, which will be Latin America’s largest aquarium.
