Water Country in Portsmouth, New Hampshire is celebrating its 40th season with several new features and two new waterslide experiences, called Hyperlight.
When the water park reopens on 3 June, guests will see a new entrance with a redesigned main gate, a new Water Country sign, and refreshed parking booths.
The park is also introducing two new ride experiences. The reimagined attractions are replacing two of Water Country’s most intense slides, Black Whole and Warp Eight.
‘Hyperlight’ immersive experience
Both tube slides will be fitted with iSlide technology, with riders enjoying an immersive experience with vivid lights and pulsing sounds.
Additionally, Water Country is repainting four of its aquatic attractions ā Dragonās Den, Plunge, Racing RapidsĀ andĀ Hyperlight.
“Water Country has been a staple for every New Englanderās summer since opening its gates in 1984,” said the park’s general manager Matt Hehl.
“40 looks great on us, and we canāt wait to welcome guests back this season as we celebrate four decades of fun with an all-new look and feel that will capture guests’ attention as soon as they enter the park.”
Redesigned water park elements
Meanwhile, the park is looking to hire more than 300 employees for the upcoming season. It is hosting a job fair on 1 April from 10am until 2pm and hiring for positions including lifeguards, housekeepers and security staff.
Water Country is New England’s largest water park, home to more than 18 attractions. It is owned and operated by Palace Entertainment, Parques Reunidos‘ US subsidiary.
