WhiteWater Creates First Fusion Waterslide for Aquaparc, Switzerland

Innovative waterpark attractions company, Whitewater, and waterpark owner/operator, The Looping Group, have created what they describe as a “one of a kind” experience for Aquaparc, Switzerland.

The Houla Hoop, Europe’s first Fusion Waterslide, combines the high-banking turns of Whitewater’s Constrictor™  with the near vertical oscillations of their Rattler™.  The family ride is 169 metres long and rafts can reach speeds of up to 20 km/h.

A major challenge for the team involved was how to squeeze it in amongst the park’s existing slides.

“Our team developed a detailed complete 3D environment of the site that allowed us to minimize any potential interference with the existing structural supports and waterslides, ” explains WhiteWater Slidepath Designer, Marco Lechuga. “It was a challenging and fun project.”

The Looping Group owns and manages eight leisure parks throughout Europe. Aquaparc, in Le Bouveret, is a year-round family attraction that features a heated indoor waterpark as well as the outdoor activity pool, waterslides and play structure.
