P&P Projects is authorised to design and create theme park concepts featuring famous Dr. Seuss characters

WildBrain CPLG, a global leader in entertainment, sports, and brand licensing, has brokered a collaboration between Dr. Seuss Enterprises and experience design company P&P Projects to develop new theme park designs inspired by Dr. Seuss’ properties across Europe and Asia-Pacific (APAC), excluding China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

WildBrain CPLG handles licensing and location-based entertainment (LBE) rights for Dr. Seuss Enterprises across both regions. Under this agreement, P&P Projects is authorised to design and create theme park concepts featuring famous Dr. Seuss characters, such as The Cat in the Hat, Oh, the Places You'll Go!, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, and others.

As global interest in immersive, story-rich attractions rises, the partnership will develop engaging concepts that bring Dr. Seuss's imaginative worlds to life as theme park experiences. This collaboration aims to open new opportunities for operators, developers, and investors looking for top-tier IP for destination entertainment projects.

With the upcoming release of The Cat in the Hat animated movie this year, the 70th anniversaries of both The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! in 2027, and Oh, the Places You'll Go! debuting in theatres in 2028, Dr. Seuss is moving into a new chapter of fan engagement.

A new chapter of fan engagement

Susan Brandt, president and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, says: “Dr. Seuss’ stories have inspired generations of readers around the world through their imagination, optimism and sense of adventure. As we continue to expand the ways audiences can engage with our beloved characters and stories, location-based entertainment presents an exciting opportunity.

"We’re looking forward to collaborating with P&P Projects to explore new concepts and connect with operators who share our vision for creating memorable family destinations."

Ifat Caspi, chief commercial officer, P&P Projects, says: “Dr. Seuss is one of the most celebrated storytelling brands in the world and offers an incredibly rich creative foundation for immersive experiences. Operators and developers are increasingly looking for globally recognised IP that can deliver strong appeal while supporting long-term destination growth.

"We’re looking forward to creating visionary concepts that really showcase how we can translate the magic of Dr. Seuss into scalable entertainment destinations."

Evi Sari, VP, global LBE, WildBrain CPLG, adds: “From the whimsical adventures of The Cat in the Hat to the heartwarming holiday magic of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and the inspirational journey of Oh, the Places You'll Go!, these properties bring extensive opportunities for themed attractions.

"Through this partnership, we're creating a pathway for operators and developers in Europe and APAC to explore new destination experiences ahead of exciting content moments and anniversary milestones.”

Earlier this summer, Mercis BV and WildBrain CPLG announced they are expanding their relationship to cover LBE rights for Miffy and Friends in China, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and the Middle East, with potential opportunities in Europe and the UK evaluated individually.
