Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, has provided three attractions to the new Maple Island family area at Lotte World Seoul, building on the continued relationship between the two organisations.

Adding broad family appeal, this project demonstrates how Zamperla’s varied, modular portfolio helps parks to combine complementary rides in an exciting environment.

Davide Donadello, Zamperla's sales and operation manager for China and Korea Region, says: "It’s a real honor to be part of Maple Island together with Lotte World Seoul.

"Projects like this highlight what we do best: listening to a park’s goals and turning them into a ride mix that fits the audience, the operation, and the story.

"We can’t wait to see people enjoy Maple Island!"

Layered approach

Maple Island is a strong example of how a thoughtfully curated ride mix can deliver broad appeal while creating dynamic energy that enhances the area's overall atmosphere.

The three Zamperla attractions work together as Integrated Rides, mixing different heights, motion profiles, and intensities. They include a Junior Coaster named 'Stone Express'; 'Arcana Ride', a Speedway 8; and the 'Eos Tower' Sky Tower.

The project also illustrates Zamperla's ability to collaborate closely with creative teams and theming partners, a key strength of its ongoing partnership with Lotte World. This delivers rides that feel like chapters of a single story rather than standalone attractions.

Theming ranges from ride identities to the role each attraction plays in the visitor journey. This unifies the experience by supporting immersion, reinforcing the narrative, and creating unforgettable moments for guests of all ages.

Adam Sandy, Zamperla’s roller coaster sales and marketing director, says: "Our Roller Coaster Business Unit could not be more thrilled about this project.

"The Junior Coaster is the anchor for our Integrated Rides and to have this installation at a world-class park like Lotte World is an honor for the company.

"We have many options for a 90 cm (36 in) coaster, but the Junior Coaster platform stands out as a workhorse that can be utilized in many different way."

In February, Zamperla marked the opening of Dragonix, a brand-new Air Race attraction, at Parque Diversiones in Costa Rica.

The launch represents an additional step in Zamperla’s dedication to delivering high-performance rides through innovation, precise engineering, and connection with local audiences.
