Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, has collaborated with Slagharen in the Netherlands to develop Sky Sifter, a new signature thrill ride and a focal point for the park's Western-themed zone.
Sky Sifter is a Discovery 30 Revolution, a high-impact ride concept with attention-grabbing height, dynamic motion, and visual presence. Developed as a park landmark, this new addition to Slagharen draws visitors into the very centre of the experience.

'High-energy thrills wrapped in strong storytelling'
Slagharen and Zamperla worked together from the earliest phases of the project to guarantee that the ride would provide thrills while aligning with the park’s identity. The project features a custom Western-themed package developed specifically for Slagharen, which melds Sky Sifter with the park’s storytelling.
Following Slagharen’s Wild West theming, Sky Sifter strengthens the area’s character with a strong visual and immersive presence. The dedicated theming aims to enrich the visitor experience, boosting the “wow” factor and making the attraction a captivating new focal point.
Sander de Haas, general manager at Themepark & Resort Slagharen, says: "Sky Sifter represents exactly what we want to bring our guests: high-energy thrills wrapped in strong storytelling.
"Our collaboration with Zamperla allowed us to create an attraction that not only delivers an unforgettable ride experience, but also strengthens the Wild West identity our park is known for.
"We’re incredibly proud to introduce this new landmark to Themepark and Resort Slagharen and can’t wait for our guests to feel its power."

The Sky Sifter Discovery 30 Revolution with custom theming
Sky Sifter marks Europe's second Discovery Revolution 30 and brings a distinctive ride concept to the park.
Its circular gondola can seat up to 30 riders with a minimum height of 120 cm (48 in). They are secured by over-the-shoulder restraints and face outward, their feet dangling.
Combining dynamic pendulum swings with ongoing rotation, the ride builds up to an intense 360 degree rotation.
With a theoretical hourly capacity of 540 pph, Sky Sifter bolsters Slagharen’s thrill lineup and brings a new, eye-catching landmark that aims to attract visitors and adds to the vibrant atmosphere.
Close collaboration
Sky Sifter reflects Zamperla's established approach of collaborating closely with parks to develop attractions with reliable performance, strong visitor appeal, and customised theming, supporting long-term development goals and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
The ride is positioned as one of Slagharen’s most recognisable attractions, offering a new Wild West icon and a must-try for visitors seeking thrills, spectacle, and immersive fun.
Marco Mazzucchi, Zamperla’s sales manager Europe, says: "Sky Sifter is the result of a great collaboration with Slagharen.
"It pairs the Discovery 30 Revolution’s thrill factor with custom Wild West theming made specifically for the park. We’re proud to help expand their lineup with a true new landmark attraction."
Earlier this month, Zamperla shared details of its continued relationship with Lotte World Seoul, where it has supplied three attractions for the new Maple Island family area.
