ARCO/Murray, a leading design-builder specializing in national rollouts across a wide spectrum of industries, has announced the latest in its Innovative Locations webinar series.
The firm has been a general contractor for a number of leading leisure brands including Topgolf, iFly, Puttshack and other location-based entertainment companies.
The Innovative Locations collection of educational interviews has recently included discussions with Puttshack CEO Joe Vrankin and Electric Shuffle USA CEO Gene Ball.
A fresh take on a classic
Alex Patterson is the creator of Beat The Bomb, a video gaming location where players are grouped into teams and presented with digital challenges through a sequence of rooms.
Patterson launched the experience in 2018 whilst he was an executive at the competitive team obstacle course event Tough Mudder. He is a Harvard graduate and also attended the University of Virginia’s School of Law.
His attraction modernises the classic escape room experience using a series of touch screens, projection walls and laser mazes. Guests are then presented with the signature experience where they are tasked with dismantling the titular paint bomb.
Patterson is optimistic about how his interpretation of the escape room concept compares to competitors. The entrepreneur believes that Beat The Bomb is both differentiated enough and scalable in the market and that the technology itself could play a wider role in educational and domestic gaming setups.
Other videos hosted by ACCO/Murray are also available to watch on-demand on the company’s YouTube channel. This includes discussions with WhirlyBall VP Adam Elias and SVP TOCA Social U.S. Zach Shor.
Electric Shuffle USA CEO Gene Ball featured in the previous episode of ARCO/Murray’s Innovative Locations webinar series, sharing the success and discussing the future of the interactive shuffleboard bar and restaurant venue. Will Dean, CEO and co-founder of Electric Gamebox was another recent guest.
