Alterface, a leader in interactive technology, and Fantawild Holdings Inc., a one-stop solution provider in the theme park industry, have formally established a strategic partnership to develop next-generation interactive attractions. This agreement was signed at IAAPA Expo Asia in Hong Kong on 11 June.
This partnership merges Fantawild’s role as a top integrated themed entertainment developer in China with Alterface’s specialisation in interactive technology and game design.
Fantawild provides complete solutions throughout the themed tourism value chain, from initial creative planning and design to attraction development, systems integration, construction, and ongoing operations management.
Its main offerings, such as rides, themed live shows, immersive experiences, and interactive attractions, are fully developed in-house, demonstrating strong expertise in commercialisation and large-scale implementation. This allows Fantawild to deliver comprehensive turnkey solutions for major themed tourism projects globally.
Alterface has over 25 years of expertise in interactive entertainment, having installed more than 150 interactive dark rides, walkthroughs, and theatres globally.
Innovation is a key element of the partnership. The two companies will work together to find new ways to engage guests, emphasising improved gameplay features and the incorporation of interactive technologies into both new projects and existing attractions.

“We see strong potential in this collaboration with Alterface,” says Huo Caixia, vice president of Fantawild. “Their interactive technologies complement our development capabilities, enabling us to create the next-generation interactive experiences.”
Central to this method are Alterface’s interactive systems, engineered to be quick, adaptable, and seamless, reacting instantly to guest gestures and triggers.
This immediate responsiveness enables innovative levels of interaction and gameplay, while keeping the technology hidden from view, ensuring guests remain fully immersed in the attraction.
Another important aspect of the collaboration is that Alterface’s technologies are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing attraction systems, facilitating adoption within current design, production, and operational processes.
Operators and developers can enhance attractions with Alterface interactivity without requiring extensive rebuilding or significant modifications to existing setups, simplifying the implementation across various project types.
“Fantawild is a key partner in terms of scale, vision and integration and operation capabilities,” says Stéphane Battaille, CEO of Alterface Projects SA.
“We are pleased to bring our technology to such a leading player in the Chinese themed entertainment market.”
This partnership seeks to create distinctive interactive attractions, enhancing Fantawild’s portfolio and broadening interactive entertainment options.
Alterface also recently contributed its new generation interactive pointing system to Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare at Kings Island, Ohio.
