Alton Towers in the UK has revealed the name of its new Bluey roller coaster, which is themed to Bluey and Bingo's iconic grannies game.

Due to open in spring 2026 and located in the park's CBeebies Land, the world's first Bluey coaster is called Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies.

A new image of the attraction shows Bluey and Bingo riding the family coaster dressed as the grannies, known as Janet and Rita in the animated preschool TV show.

“We can’t wait to welcome the mischievous and limitless energy of the grannies to the resort when we open the Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies this spring," said Howard Ebison, vice president of Alton Towers.

"Alongside even more bespoke Bluey-themed hotel rooms, we’re excited for the fans to enjoy the new attraction and immerse themselves in the mayhem of the grannies."

At Alton Towers, the new coaster will join existing Bluey offerings, including the Heeler family meet-and-greet and live stage show.

In addition, Alton Towers has announced plans for additional Bluey-themed hotel rooms at the CBeebies Land Hotel.

“We know that whenever the grannies come out to play, it is a fan-favourite moment for those that love the show," said Natasha Spence, events director, live entertainment at BBC Studios.

"We are excited that the energy of these much-loved characters is being brought to life in Bluey’s first-ever coaster at Alton Towers Resort – home to CBeebies Land."

Created and written by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and BBC Studios, Bluey is the top show on CBeebies in the UK.

In December, Disney announced a series of new Bluey-themed experiences launching this year at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line.
