Sea Life Orlando aquarium awarded coveted AZA accreditation

SEA LIFE Orlando has won accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

To qualify for this highly-prized award, the aquarium was required to meet or surpass a list of exacting standards.

These encompass everything from animal care, keeper training and safety to educational programmes, conservation efforts and financial stability.

The process involves an on-site inspection by zoo and aquarium professionals.

According to Dan Ashe, President and CEO of AZA, only the “very best” aquariums achieve accreditation. He added that Sea Life Orlando had demonstrated its commitment to ‘exemplary animal care and welfare, educational and inspiring guest experiences’.

SEA LIFE Orlando is located in the I-Drive 360 complex with Madame Tussauds Orlando and Coca-Cola Orlando Eye. All three attractions are operated by Merlin Entertainments.
