Born and raised in Yorkshire, Ben Wilson graduated with a BA Hons in Interior Design in 2009 and has been a part of the design community ever since. In 2012 he joined a well-established interior design studio specialising in Cruise Ship design, SMC Design in London. Here, he worked his way up from a Junior Designer on the award winning Viking Cruises prototype, Viking Star, to Senior Designer/Project Manager for the first newbuild of Saga Cruises, Spirit of Discovery, of which received the inaugural Seatrade ‘Marine Interior Design of the Year’ award in 2019.
Since joining the New Building department of MSC Cruises in 2021 as Head of Architecture and Concept Design, Wilson has led the successful delivery of MSC World Europa, MSC Seascape, MSC Euribia and within 2025, MSC World America. Looking to the immediate future, his role is to design, develop and deliver innovative and exciting new cabins, suites, and public areas for MSC World Asia, MSC World Atlantic and the rest of the World Class fleet, along with spearheading the continuous evolution of the MSC Cruises contemporary brand.
