Disney Treasure will offer several venues inspired by Disney parks

Disney Cruise Line has unveiled its new ship, the Disney Treasure, which will feature spaces inspired by Disney parks experiences.

Setting sail from Port Canaveral, Florida in December 2024, the Disney Treasure will house new attractions and reimagined experiences themed to films such as Aladdin, Coco and Zootopia. It is a similar ship to the Disney Wish, which started sailing last year.

The Treasure “will bring brand-new stories to life, blending one-of-a-kind experiences with the extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining and unparalleled hospitality that make every sailing so memorable”, said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line.

“As we chart a course for adventure, we’re so excited for families to discover the excitement and exploration that awaits onboard the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.”

Plaza de Coco is the first theatrical dining experience based on 2017 film Coco. Here, dining tables will surround a central stage, with performances and show effects throughout the room.

There will be two different experiences on offer at Plaza de Coco. On the first night, Miguel and his family will take guests on a colourful and musical journey. On the second night, Miguel will take his great-great-grandparents to Santa Cecilia with the help of his magical guitar for a Día de los Muertos celebration.

Jumbeaux’s Sweets is based on the Jumbeaux Café ice cream parlour in Zootopia. As well as pink interiors and a sculpture of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, guests will enjoy 20 flavours of gelato, 16 flavours of ice cream and sorbets, and more sweet treats.

For the first time at Disney Cruise Line, the Treasure will offer several venues inspired by Disney parks experiences.

Skipper Society is a themed lounge that will bring the iconic Jungle Cruise attraction to sea for the first time. Guests will discover references to the attraction throughout the space, including a monkey-shaped chandelier and a canopy of jungle foliage.

Periscope Pub is Disney Cruise Line’s first location inspired by the 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and the Disney parks attraction that was open at Walt Disney World between 1971 and 1994.

Additionally, the 2,000-square-foot Tomorrow Tower Suite is themed to Epcot‘s World Discovery neighbourhood.

The Treasure’s grand hall is an adventure-themed space inspired by Agrabah from Aladdin, while two walk-up cafés located nearby, Heihei Café and Jade Cricket Café, are based on Moana and Mulan.

Sarabi, a central hub for daytime activities and adult evening entertainment, is named after the lioness from Disney’s The Lion King.

AquaMouse, Disney Cruise Line’s water coaster at sea, is returning with a new cartoon – Curse of the Golden Egg. Located high above the upper decks, the ride’s jets propel two-person ride vehicles through 760 feet of winding tubes.

The Treasure’s 1,256 staterooms will feature artwork and elements inspired by films such as Aladdin, Pocahontas, Up and Encanto. The concierge and royal suites will bring to life films including The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Aladdin.

More returning experiences include Beauty and the Beast and Disney Seas the Adventure at the Walt Disney Theatre, as well as a new stage production to be revealed later.

New Disney parks experiences

The ship’s upper decks will come to life with music and fireworks during the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, while family dining will be available at Worlds of Marvel and 1923.

F&B venues The Rose, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallament are also returning to the Disney Treasure.

Bookings for the Disney Treasure open to all guests on 20 September 2023.
