Ahead of the opening on 16 June, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter has revealed its exclusive ‘Ministry of Magic’ set.
Covering more than 900 square metres, the Ministry of Magic was one of the biggest and most intricate sets created for the Harry Potter film franchise – and it has now been rebuilt in Japan.
To get to the Ministry of Magic, employees would commute via telephone, toilet or the ‘Floo Network’ using one of the giant fireplaces.
Visitors to the new Harry Potter attraction will get to step into one of these fireplaces, posing for photos as smoke and lighting mimic the magical effect of Floo powder all around them.

The set will be dressed as it appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part One, when Harry, Ron and Hermione take on the identities of workers to break in.
It includes the ‘Magic is Might’ statue, which was installed after the Death Eaters took over the Ministry of Magic.
Per a press release, the Ministry’s design was inspired by Victorian architecture and is covered with thousands of green and red tiles made from lacquered wood.
The new studio tour also houses classic locations like the Great Hall at Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and the Forbidden Forest.
New studio tour attraction in Japan
Fans will get the opportunity to ride a broomstick, drink a Butterbeer, join the crowd at a Quidditch match, and shop for exclusive merchandise.
“In addition to fantastic interactive features, multiple photo opportunities and the world’s largest Harry Potter shop, the studio tour will exclusively showcase a number of incredible film sets that are one of a kind,” said Torben Jensen, the attraction’s vice president and general manager.
Elsewhere, Miral has announced a new Harry Potter-themed land for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi – a first in the Middle East.
