Tim Burton’s Labyrinth, an immersive experience that takes visitors through the director’s creative universe, is opening in September at Espacio Ibercaja Delicias.

Espacio Ibercaja Delicias, a performing arts theatre in Madrid, Spain, will be the first venue to host Tim Burton’s Labyrinth. The exhibition opens on 29 September.

“We are excited to announce a brand new immersive exhibition opening in Madrid, Spain this autumn,” says a statement on Tim Burton‘s website.

“Tim Burton Laberinto takes you through a labyrinth of rooms filled with original artworks by Tim Burton, specially created sculptures, animations and more.”

Burton is known for movies such as Beetlejuice (1988), Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Edward Scissorhands (1990), Ed Wood (1994), Mars Attacks! (1996) Sleepy Hollow (1999), Big Fish (2003) and Alice in Wonderland (2010).

Labyrinth of rooms inspired by director’s works

The filmmaker’s stop-motion films include cult classic The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), which was followed by 2005’s Corpse Bride and 2012’s Frankenweenie.

“Go through the gloomy but magical forest of The Corpse Bride, discover the Tragic Toys or the story of Oyster Boy, manage not to lose your head with the Queen of Hearts,” a description reads.

Each room transports visitors to a unique Burtonesque environment. Guests choose their own path, deciding which doors to open as they go. Tickets are now on sale.

Elsewhere, Disneyland has unveiled this year’s haunting Halloween offerings, with the Haunted Mansion getting its annual overlay based on The Nightmare Before Christmas.

In 2021, Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) featured a haunted house inspired by Beetlejuice with recreated scenes from the film.
