Catherine Franche

Catherine Franche is Executive Director of Ecsite, the European network of science centres and museums, which has more than 300 member organisations, including science centres, museums, aquariums, science festivals, universities and many others. Originally from Québec, Canada, Catherine brings over two decades of experience to her Brussels-based role. She is passionate about promoting collaboration between organisations involved in informal science learning, policymakers, and the public to foster science engagement and education across Europe.

Under her leadership, Ecsite has grown to become a centre of innovation and excellence in the field of science engagement, advocating for improved science communication with the public and the sharing of best practices amongst its diverse members.
