Chance Rides' Utility eTRAM offers a practical solution to move equipment, tools, and supplies across locations

Chance Rides, a leading manufacturer of amusement rides, has launched the electric Utility eTRAM, an all-electric vehicle designed to help maintenance, housekeeping, and facilities teams move efficiently and reduce environmental impact.

Designed for commercial settings where reliability and uptime are crucial, the Utility eTRAM adds to the company's growing range of electric transportation options.

As attractions, resorts, campuses, and large venues prioritise sustainable practices, electric utility vehicles are playing an increasingly vital role in behind-the-scenes infrastructure.

Although guest transportation often grabs attention, maintenance and operations teams also need dependable, zero-emission vehicles to handle daily logistics over large areas.

Built for operational efficiency

The Utility eTRAM offers a practical solution to move equipment, tools, and supplies across locations like theme parks, zoos, botanical gardens, resorts, campuses, and municipal facilities.

Its quiet electric operation lets staff work with minimal guest disruption and supports organisations' sustainability and emissions-reduction efforts.

The vehicle combines battery-electric propulsion with solar charging, helping recharge the battery, extend its range, and reduce reliance on grid charging.

The Utility eTRAM is built to withstand tough environments. It can climb slopes up to 14% even when fully loaded, helping teams traverse hilly terrain without loss of efficiency. Its electric drivetrain functions reliably in temperatures as low as 5°F, allowing for year-round use in diverse climates.

Fleet intelligence

Beyond just vehicle performance, fleet intelligence is a key factor for operators overseeing numerous assets across extensive properties. Chance Rides has integrated smart fleet management features that help organisations optimise vehicle usage, simplify logistics, and enhance maintenance planning efficiency.

Standard features consist of a 14.6 kWh battery pack, built-in solar panels, LED lighting, turn signals, hazard lights, and interior lighting. These elements support daily commercial use while preserving a modern appearance.

As visitor attractions strive to balance sustainability goals with operational efficiency, electric utility fleets are becoming increasingly important in daily operations.

Although guests might not see these vehicles in action, tools like the Utility eTRAM help promote cleaner operations, boost staff productivity, and facilitate more efficient movement in complex destinations.

Earlier this month, Chance Rides shared insights into the collaborative approach it takes with operators across different sectors, spotlighting projects with Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium, Skinner Amusement Midway and Santa Ana Zoo.
