Introduction

TRISON transformed the Barcelona Aquarium into an immersive digital journey, merging creativity and cutting-edge technology to enrich the emotional connection between visitors and the marine world. The project redefines how audiences interact with nature through a fully integrated digital ecosystem.

The Challenge

The Aquarium sought to reinvent its visitor experience by using digital innovation as a creative tool. The challenge was to surprise audiences from the exterior and guide them through a memorable multi-sensory journey that combined education, entertainment, and wonder, all while respecting the delicate marine environment.

The vision was to create a space where technology and creativity converge to deliver a truly sensory experience. Thanks to TRISON’s solutions, visitors not only observe marine life but also live it—immersed in a digitally reimagined ocean that amplifies fascination and fosters a stronger bond with nature.

Key Highlights

TRISON designed and integrated a comprehensive audiovisual ecosystem that blends visual impact, interaction, and atmosphere:

  • Exterior: A giant LED screen with 3D content and synchronised audio captures passers-by, complemented by a holographic fan at the entrance
  • Digital Ocean: Over 300 m² of digital flooring recreates the sensation of walking on water, with an infinite mirrored ceiling expanding spatial perception
  • Exhibition route: LED and LCD touchpoints enrich the storytelling, connecting visitors to the scale and beauty of marine life
  • Interactive area: A 360º projection room immerses guests in an underwater journey through large-scale projections and immersive audio, also adaptable for events

Simplified Management

An intuitive software system allows staff to manage the entire installation from a tablet, making daily operation easy and flexible.
