Communicating the Arts is a yearly conference for experts working in the visual and performing arts, social history, heritage and cultural space. It has been held in more than 35 cities and attended by more than 10,000 professionals to date. Filled with keynote presentations, panel discussions, and educational seminars and workshops, the event is well-known for highlighting key issues and trends.
The annual event strives to educate attendees with the latest communication and fundraising practices, using case studies from CTA’s extensive professional network. Attendees are encouraged to focus on creative and solution-focused approaches to help further develop the cultural sector.

Previous CTA locations include Paris, Singapore, Canada, USA, Spain, Turkey, Australia and Austria. The 2025 event will take place at the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, June 17 – 19.
The theme of Communicating the Arts 2025 is “Impact”, exploring how institutions can foster cohesiveness between social, educational, political, and financial aspects to maximise impact. Questions raised will go beyond viewing investments as a means to increase revenue and focus on the many ways in which the arts can enrich our society and deliver positive, multidimensional results.
Communicating the Arts was founded in 2000 by Corinne Estrada and former TATE director of communications Damien Whitmore. Estrada is the CEO of AGENDA, a specialised communications agency for the arts sector, and has been teaching Masters students at the CELSA University, Paris-Sorbonne, in communications management since 2012.
