Walt Disney World in Florida has announced an opening date for its new Zootopia 4D show at Animal Kingdom, and confirmed the removal of 3D from Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot.

Starting with Zootopia: Better Zoogether; the new 4D show opens at Animal Kingdom's Tree of Life Theater on 7 November.

Set during a Zoogether Day celebration, the show features characters from Zootopia (2016) and Zootopia 2 (2025), including Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, and new friends like Heidi Howler.

Guests will enjoy ice-skating spectaculars, synchronized swimming, tiny mouse drone shows, and a musical finale by Gazelle.

For the new attraction, cast from the films including Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman are returning to their roles.

Also, filmmakers Jared Bush and Byron Howard are working closely with Walt Disney Imagineering to bring the show to life.

In addition, Zootopia: Better Zoogether will feature a state-of-the-art Benjamin Clawhauser audio-animatronic figure, which first debuted at Shanghai Disneyland's new Zootopia land.

As for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot, Disney World has confirmed that the trackless dark ride is closing between 10 and 13 November for a brief refurbishment.

When it reopens, there will be no 3D glasses. Instead, the attraction will feature "enhanced digital visuals and clearer imagery projected in 2D", the Disney World website says.

"Remy’s fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months," it adds.

Earlier this year, Disneyland Paris also announced that it is removing 3D glasses from its Ratatouille-themed ride.
