Disneyland's all-time attendance since opening in California in 1955 has reached 900 million visitors, according to a new documentary.
As reported by the Orange County Register, the attendance milestone was revealed in the new Disneyland Handcrafted documentary by filmmaker Leslie Iwerks.
Disneyland Handcrafted is about the development of Disneyland, from groundbreaking to opening day on 17 July 1955. The documentary debuts on 22 January on YouTube and Disney+.

The Disneyland population sign at the park entrance was last updated in 2013 to 650 million.
In 2024, attendance at Disneyland grew by 0.5 percent to 17.3 million visitors, according to estimates by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).
If Disneyland maintains its current attendance rate in the coming years, it will hit the 1 billion visitor mark in late 2031, the Orange County Register reports.
Disneyland set to hit 1 billion guests
Combined with Disney California Adventure, the all-time attendance of Disneyland Resort likely exceeded the 1 billion visitor mark in February 2025, based on attendance figure estimates.
The resort is currently working on the $1.9 billion DisneylandForward expansion plan, which received final approval from Anaheim City Council in May 2024.
Via the multi-decade proposal, the resort will build new attractions, hotels and retail locations on its existing space, such as parking areas and unused land.

The plan includes potential experiences based on Frozen, Tangled, Peter Pan, Zootopia, Toy Story, Black Panther, and Tron, as well as an Avatar land, an Encanto experience, and a Coco ride.
"We’re ready to build on decades of innovation, creativity, and storytelling to bring new, exciting experiences for our guests," Disneyland's president Ken Potrock said in a previous statement.
