On 29 March 2026, World of Frozen, along with numerous new attractions, will debut at Disney Adventure World, the revamped second park at Disneyland Paris.

Once its transformation is complete, Disneyland Paris will have approximately doubled the size of its second park.

Walt Disney Studios Park will be transformed into Disney Adventure World with the opening of Adventure Way, a new main avenue featuring entertainment, a brand-new attraction inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios' Tangled, 14 new dining venues, and the debut of an expansive lake called Adventure Bay, which will host a spectacular nighttime show.

The expansion is anchored by the new World of Frozen. The recreated Kingdom of Arendelle, built to life-size scale, will include a new family-friendly ride, a daytime show, a royal encounter with Queen Anna and Elsa, and interactions with popular characters, including a life-sized Olaf, made possible by next-gen robotic figures from Walt Disney Imagineering.

The second park will also include Worlds of Pixar and Marvel Avengers Campus, which will later be joined by a fourth world inspired by the classic Disney Animation film The Lion King.

A milestone for Disneyland Paris

The transformation of over 90% of the second park’s offerings since 2002 demonstrates Disneyland Paris's continuous ambition to reinvent itself and improve the guest experience.

Natacha Rafalski, présidente of Disneyland Paris, says: “29th March 2026 will mark a historic milestone for Disneyland Paris with the transformation of our second park into Disney Adventure World, and the opening of its spectacular new expansion, featuring World of Frozen.

"With this step, we’re pursuing the most ambitious transformation in our resort’s history, pushing the boundaries of storytelling and inviting guests to live their own adventures in the extraordinary worlds of Disney Animation, Pixar, and Marvel.

"This marks a new era for Europe’s number one tourist destination, filled with deeper storytelling, stronger emotions, and unforgettable moments.

"Supported by our €2 billion investment plan, this expansion reflects a bold creative vision, made possible thanks to the talent of Walt Disney Imagineering and the passion of our Cast Members who bring our stories to life through their dedication and creativity.

"Together, we’re reinventing how our guests experience Disney Animation, Pixar, and Marvel worlds, bringing to life the emotions that only Disney can inspire.”

Visitors can explore new attractions at Disney Adventure World, like meeting Anna and Elsa in Arendelle, watching a nighttime show, riding Tangled-inspired gondolas, sampling dishes with Disney Princesses at Regal View Restaurant, and taking selfies with Spider-Man and Marvel heroes.

They can also discover unique activities like befriending a troll, sending a postcard from Arendelle, visiting the lounge with lake views, and enjoying a quirky culinary experience at Bistrot Chez Rémy.

World of Frozen

“World of Frozen is more than just inspired by the film; it truly brings the kingdom of Arendelle to life," says Michel den Dulk, vice-president and portfolio executive creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris.

"Working together across disciplines, our Imagineers combined creativity and attention to detail to craft a world that captures the spirit of the story and feels real and immersive. We’re very proud to see the castle, the village, and the North Mountain become reality, and we can’t wait for our guests to step into this world and be part of the story.”

Guests will see the 118-foot (36 metres) North Mountain, topped by Elsa’s Ice Palace. At its base is the village of Arendelle, featuring colourful Nordic-style buildings.

Villagers, accompanied by a musical reinterpretation of the films’ iconic songs, will lead visitors to Arendelle Bay, the Fountain of Friendship, or Arendelle Castle, decorated with icy designs- created by Walt Disney Imagineering and brought to life by UK Loco, a UK-based immersive decor specialist.

The facades and mouldings will feature delicate floral motifs and rosemaling, a Norwegian decorative art form, showcasing skilled craftsmanship. Inspired by Scandinavian landscapes, greenery like conifers, birches, beeches, and crocuses will evoke the animated films’ worlds.

Attractions include Frozen Ever After, a musical boat ride with Anna, Elsa, and their friends. This features cutting-edge technology, including state-of-the-art animatronics and immersive projection technologies.

Guests can meet Anna and Elsa at Arendelle Castle and enjoy A Celebration in Arendelle, a 15-minute colourful show multiple times daily for the Snowflower Festival. Songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, Oscar winners for Let It Go, composed new music exclusively for the show.

On 24 November 2025, Bruce Vaughn, Walt Disney Imagineering's president and chief creative officer, introduced a new advanced robotic Olaf snowman during a press conference.

This new Olaf character was developed by Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, in close collaboration with Disney Live Entertainment and Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Food offerings include the quick-service restaurant Nordic Crowns Tavern, while Arendelle Boutique, the village’s toy shop, will present Frozen merchandise and an exclusive selection of creations inspired by Scandinavian craftsmanship. Guests can also meet Rúna, an interactive baby troll toy.

After a meeting ceremony, guests will receive their new interactive companion. Equipped with the latest technology, Rúna will respond to touch, blink its eyes, move its ears, light up, and communicate with other trolls it encounters. It will also interact with locations and characters in Arendelle, its villagers, and the Queens, Anna and Elsa.

New nighttime spectacular

Beyond the World of Frozen, visitors can explore the Pixar and Marvel universes through attractions, character meet-and-greets, dining, and shopping.

Pixar World features rides like Crush’s Coaster and Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totally Toquée de Rémy, along with character meetings and themed restaurants. Marvel’s Avengers Campus features attractions such as Spider-Man: W.E.B. Adventure and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, along with live stunt shows and dining options.

Adventure Bay is a central 7.5-acre lake around which the immersive lands are set, providing scenic views, character interactions, and a nighttime spectacular. Throughout the day, visitors can meet characters like Mickey and Minnie in Victorian costumes at the West Pavilion, which will expand to include more Disney characters after opening in March 2026.

At nightfall, Disney Cascade of Lights, a new and immersive nighttime spectacle, will be on display. Positioned as the grand finale at Disney Adventure World, the show offers an unforgettable experience for all ages, with a 360° setup and tiered viewing spots for optimal views.

It features innovative technology, including the world’s first integration of aquatic and aerial drones, creating synchronised choreographies across water and sky.

Inspired by tales from Disney and Marvel, the show combines immersive effects—water screens, fountains, projections, lighting, and pyrotechnics—with a central ballet of 379 drones, developed with Dronisos, showcasing intricate formations and dazzling displays.

Accompanied by a score performed by a 90-piece orchestra, including new arrangements and an original anthem, the production represents a milestone in Disney’s nighttime entertainment, blending technology, artistry, and storytelling.

Adventure Way

Adventure Way connects World Premiere Plaza to various lands, including Marvel Avengers Campus, Worlds of Pixar, and World of Frozen. It will feature a new attraction, multiple dining options with 14 culinary experiences, lush green spaces for relaxation, and diverse entertainment.

The area will host Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family ride inspired by Disney's Tangled. It recreates the Lantern Festival scene from the film. Guests sit in detailed gondolas and spin beneath a sky of floating lanterns, surrounded by Rapunzel’s adventures depicted in frescoes.

The ride includes music from the movie and features audio recordings by Mandy Moore, Rapunzel’s voice actress.

Guests can unwind and dine at the new Regal View Restaurant & Lounge on Adventure Way before exploring Disney Adventure World. This features embroidered drapery, floral tapestries, wood mouldings, and murals of Disney Princesses such as Snow White, Tiana, and Moana.

Visitors can meet princesses such as Belle, Merida, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel, some in exclusive outfits debuting at Disneyland Paris. The restaurant offers views of Adventure Bay and the Disney Cascade of Lights show.

The Regal View Lounge, the parks' first indoor bar, offers a bright, royal-blue decorated space with a wooden bar featuring gold accents. It displays artwork of Disney Princesses' animal companions and serves signature cocktails inspired by their personalities, all with scenic views of the lake and the Frozen area.

At Disney Adventure World, visitors can enjoy a variety of new foods at 14 different locations along Adventure Way, including bread bowls, New York rolls, and hot beverages at La Terrasse Panoramique, signature hot dogs and sweets at Café Luminosity, and other creative treats from kiosks, chalets, and carts, like stuffed brioche, potato waffles, and Princess-themed desserts.

Adventure Way will also feature themed gardens celebrating Disney and Pixar stories. Guests can stroll through areas like the Tangled Garden and Toy Story Garden, while the Gazebo Garden offers a peaceful, English-style setting with bronze statues inspired by Disney films, including Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, and 101 Dalmatians.

Throughout the year, it hosts musical events: Rapunzel and Flynn in spring; Mary Poppins in summer; Miguel’s Fiesta Latina in autumn; and character greetings starting in November 2026. The Disney Marching Band, led by Minnie Mouse and 12 musicians, parades down Adventure Way with lively renditions of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel songs.

Guests entering Adventure Way will hear a new 40-minute musical score recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

What's next for Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris is already working on its upcoming phases, driven by the goal to continually enhance the guest experience.

Next up, a family-friendly attraction inspired by Pixar’s Up will be added to Adventure Way. This flying carousel will bring movement and excitement to the promenade.

Later, Disney Adventure World will open its first themed area dedicated to The Lion King. This new universe, whose construction began in autumn 2025, will feature a major attraction combining water-based thrills with next-generation animatronics, immersing guests in the Pride Lands, set to the songs of the 1994 classic.

This spring, Disneyland Paris opened World Premiere, the new entrance to the second park, as part of its €2 billion transformation.
