The International Museum Construction Congress (IMCC) will be hosting a conference in Tokyo, Japan from 21-24 of April 2025.

The IMCC brings attendees worldwide to share project updates, best practices and case studies from cultural projects that are either in the planning phase, building underway or recently completed. The IMCC audience is comprised of museum leaders, architects, project managers, project directors, museum leadership, facilities and security administrators, business development directors, finance & procurement directors, collections & exhibition directors, social media directors.

Early-bird registration is open until 30 January 2025. Spaces are limited, with only 100 tickets available. With the past three IMCC conferences selling out, register now to avoid disappointment. More information can be found here.

Agenda

IMCC Tokyo 2025 will take place across four days, and give attendees the opportunity to learn, connect, and collaborate with colleagues from around the world. The first day will kick off with a welcoming reception at Hotel Indigo Shibuya as well as an architectural walking tour (separate registration is required for the tour). Across the following three days, IMCC Tokyo 2025 will be hosted the Nezu Museum, National Art Center & Mori Art Museum, and the Artizon Museum. Conference session highlights include:

  • From First Generation to Re-Generation (of museums): Hiroko Kusunoki, Moreau Kusunoki, Lisa Havilah, Powerhouse Parramatta
  • How can Cultural Infrastructure Contribute to Social Capital?: Adrian Ellis, Global Cultural Districts Network (GCDN), Manal Ataya, Sharjah Museums Authority

Registration

Early-Bird Registration Rate: €800.00 (the rate includes all congress sessions, receptions, and lunch). Transportation to venues is on your own.

Architecture Walking Tour: €60.00 (this is not included in the registration; separate registration required)
