The Tiqets Remarkable Venue Awards were established in 2017 to recognise and celebrate the best attractions and museums in the most-visited cities around the world. The first Tiqets Remarkable Venue Awards was hosted in Paris in 2017. The 2021 awards honors winners in seven award categories and six markets: the UK & Ireland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States. Previous award winners have included Sagrada Familia, Musée d’Orsay, and the Van Gogh Museum.
This year’s global awards evening will be free to attend with both an in-person ceremony and a global livestream to attend virtually. Anyone in the travel industry is invited to register. Presented in partnership with Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS), the awards will take place during the conference in Seville on Wednesday, November 10th from 17:30-20:30 CET.
Meet the keynote speaker
Aziz Abu Sarah is a cultural educator, TED Fellow and National Geographic Explorer whose TED Talk, “For more tolerance, we need more… tourism?” has been viewed more than 1.5 million times. His keynote speech, “Reimagining Travel: The Power of Tourism to Create a More Peaceful World”, will share why he believes the return of travel post-COVID has the power to help heal divides and increase tolerance — and how museums and attractions can play a role in making the world a more peaceful place.
