The Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) Conference 2025 will take place 29 July – 01 August in Darwin, Northern Territory. Combined of keynotes, workshops and networking, the event will bring together like minded individuals to discuss all things climate change, biodiversity and conservation.
The theme for this years conference is ‘Towards 2050’ and is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainability Goals. Industry leaders will share their predictions, goals and visions for the future of zoos and aquariums for the next 25 years, with a key focus on social license to operate, animal ethics and welfare and conservation.
Attendees to the conference will also have the opportunity to explore the city of Darwin, with a visit to Territory Wildlife Park as part of the conference proceedings
The conference proceedings are as follows:
- Tuesday 29th of July: Committee/Advisory Group Meetings and Icebreaker
Wednesday 30th July – Friday 1st of August: Conference Days
The conference will feature keynote speakers, panels, networking opportunities and workshops. Abstract submissions are now open, looking for Zoo and Aquarium professionals to share their knowledge and insights related to the theme of the conference.
