The Fourth Wall at the Broom Room (Deadpool Speakeasy)

The Fourth Wall at the Broom Room was a limited-time, hidden speakeasy tucked away on the 6th floor of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel at Disneyland Paris. Running from July 24, 2024, to January 2025, this experience was created in celebration of the release of Deadpool & Wolverine—and much like its title characters, it was anything but ordinary.

To find the bar, guests had to find a concealed QR code in the hotel lobby, at which point they followed a trail of instructions delivered by in-the-know Cast Members.

A themed room key marked with a four-digit code and an elevator ride later, guests discovered a door to what seemed from the outside to be a regular room. Once inside, they found themselves in a tiny janitor’s closet with graffiti-covered walls and a safe containing a number pad and a green button. Input the code, hit the button, and brace for Cast Member mischief—which may or may not include some light sass and making guests sweep the floor—before finally being granted access.

As the entire back wall of the broom closet slid open, guests entered a richly themed Marvel space filled with cinematic props, bold visuals, and more Deadpool references than you could count. From the Merc with a Mouth’s iconic suit to TVA gadgets and comic book covers featuring Deadpool and Wolverine, the setting was fully immersive. The food and beverage menu was just as memorable, with custom cocktails, mocktails, and bites that matched the irreverent tone of the experience. We worked with our bar staff to propose story-driven menu items, and even featured illustrations of those cast members along with their inspiration for each item.

Originally planned to close in September 2024, overwhelming guest enthusiasm led to an extension through January 2025. While the decor and theming were impressive, it was the Cast Members who truly brought “The Fourth Wall at the Broom Room” to life. Their playful, over-the-top performances made each interaction unique, ensuring guests felt like they had stumbled into something special…and a little absurd in the best possible way! This experience blended Marvel fandom, interactive storytelling, and theatrical flair to create a bar that was as clever as it was completely unexpected.
