Hope Youngblood

Director/Creative Producer

Artemis is Burning

Hope Youngblood is a director and creative producer at Artemis is Burning, the women-led immersive theatre company behind The Death of Rasputin.

Youngblood has more than a decade of experience in immersive theatre, including work with Punchdrunk's Sleep No More. She was part of the directing leadership for the productions in Boston, New York and Shanghai. From 2018 to 2022, she served as resident director and in-house creative director for the Shanghai production, overseeing performance operations, creative development and live events. She also performed in the productions.

Her other work includes directing More, a touring immersive production, and creative projects for brands including Valentino, Airbnb, TikTok and Tom Ford. She has also worked with artist Davis Freeman's company Random Scream on Too Shy to Stare, and served as associate director on Tremendous, a contemporary dance-theatre production by Patricia Noworol Dance Theater that premiered at La MaMa in New York in 2017.

At Artemis is Burning, Youngblood is creative producer and co-director of The Death of Rasputin, working alongside creator and co-director Ashley Brett Chipman. The immersive production, set in 1916 Petrograd, opened on Governors Island in New York in 2025.

The project also expanded into Rasputin's Cult Circle, an experience staged at Brooklyn sauna and cold-plunge venue Othership in early 2026. The experience combined elements of the Rasputin story with sauna sessions and cold plunges at the Brooklyn venue.
