Cercle Odyssey is the world’s first immersive nomadic concert tour, combining live music, 360° projection, and cinematic storytelling. Inspired by Homer’s poem within Greek literature, Odyssey, Cercle Odyssey reimagines the concert format as an unparalleled immersive artistic journey that explores the intimate bond between humans and nature.
Playing to 150,000 spectators during 30 shows in Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Paris, Cercle Odyssey combines the transformative power of diverse art forms. It fuses music, cinematography, lighting, sound – and even smell – into an immersive and emotionally engaging experience.

This is what audiences crave; something more than passive entertainment that connects them to something greater, offering a transformative, multisensory journey that blends music, storytelling, and visual art.
Innovative 4K Projection
The experience is built around a specially commissioned film by Neels Castillon, projected across 2,300m² of canvas using Panasonic’s RQ50K and RQ35K 3-Chip DLP™ 4K projectors. Installed by immersive event production specialists, ETC Onlyview, Panasonic’s projectors delivered up to 100,000lm of brightness per panel for the audience, with visuals seamlessly synchronised with live music to redefine immersive entertainment.
This provides a level of visual storytelling previously unattainable in live touring formats, whilst highlighting Panasonic’s market-leading role in delivering unparalleled visual experiences in complex environments.
Sustainable Innovation
Cercle Odyssey is a model of sustainable immersive entertainment, with its environmental impact minimised in every area:
- Local sourcing: All sound, lighting, projection, and production equipment is rented locally, reducing transportation emissions
- Lightweight materials: Canvas projection screens are used instead of heavy LED panels. L-Acoustics L2 line array is 25% lighter than standard systems, reducing its environmental footprint by 30%
- Energy savings: To deliver the same brightness levels, projectors use between a third, and a half of the power that LED screens use
- Minimalist design: The stage and set reduce material use and waste
- Lifecycle analysis: Cercle has evaluated the project’s full lifecycle, from supplier selection to post-event teardown, ensuring sustainability at every level
- Sustainability advocacy: Cercle Odyssey actively promotes responsible production practices and is exploring renewable energy and carbon offsetting for future tours
The project also contributes to local economies by sourcing equipment and services regionally. This commitment reflects a broader cultural expectation; audiences want experiences that are both awe-inspiring and ethically and environmentally responsible.
Panasonic’s projectors enhance sustainability through exceptional reliability and energy efficiency. Their advanced cooling systems and laser failover circuitry deliver stable, energy-efficient performance, whilst their 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation minimises downtime and servicing requirements. This lowers operational costs and reduces waste.
Powerful, Shared Experiences
The Cercle Odyssey world tour has helped audiences rediscover the power of shared, in-person experiences. It also sets a new benchmark for what immersive entertainment can be: mobile, meaningful, and sustainable.
Cercle Odyssey offers an immersive concert format that gives audiences a long-lasting sense of unity and inclusion. Its goal is to allow audiences to discover a new type of immersive experience, which delivers a powerful connection to the music and to each other.
It combines 360° projections and immersive sound, enabling audiences to feel increasingly engaged and immersed in what they are experiencing. A strict no-phone policy enhances presence and connection, aligning with growing trends in digital mindfulness. This sense of cohesion is powerful.
Industry Firsts
Cercle Odyssey has been a pioneering force in immersive entertainment. It introduces several industry firsts:
- Nomadic format: Unlike fixed-location immersive experiences, Cercle Odyssey is designed to travel, making high-end immersive concerts accessible to diverse global audiences
- 360° cinematic storytelling: The experience integrates a bespoke film inspired by Odyssey, projected in ultra-high resolution, creating a fully enveloping visual environment
- Immersive sound: Cercle and Novelty collaborated closely with the R&D departments of L-Acoustics and Ircam Amplify on implementation of immersive sets and the deployment of source separation technology
- Radical no-phone policy: This enhances emotional engagement and audience unity, offering a rare space for audiences to truly connect with the content and their fellow concert-goers. They then receive a souvenir video of the event
- Sustainability-first design: From local sourcing to lightweight materials, every decision considered the overall environmental impact
Panasonic’s innovative projection technology has helped to redefine immersive entertainment. Cercle Odyssey is a blueprint for the future of live entertainment that emotionally resonates with audiences; is technologically advanced; and environmentally conscious.
