Caitlin LeMoine is a creative director at Meow Wolf, which started as a small art collective in Santa Fe in 2008 and is now a leader in the world of immersive art experiences. She has been with Meow Wolf since January 2019, having started as a graphic designer before becoming a lead graphic designer and then an associate creative director. She has been in her current role since October 2022.
Meow Wolf is an innovator in the artainment space, which aims to display art in new ways, often digitally. The group’s venues are brimming with immersive art, secret passageways, portals to other worlds, mixed-reality playgrounds and interactive elements.
Most recently LeMoine worked on Meow Wolf’s immersive art experience, The Real Unreal, which opened to the public in Grapevine, Texas in July 2023. The art collective’s fourth permanent exhibition is found at the Grapevine Mills shopping mall in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The new installation contains a series of dreamscapes, otherworldly landscapes, art installations, surreal environments, and Meow Wolf’s iconic portals. Here, visitors can explore more than 30 rooms by 150 artists and fabricators across 29,000 square feet of space. Other Meow Wolf installations include Omega Mart at Area15 in Las Vegas, Convergence Station in Denver, and the original attraction, House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe.
“Walking through Caitlin’s space in MeowWolf Grapevine you can feel how much passion was put into it,” said one nominator. “She will be the first to jump in to help with installation, direction and making the collaborating artist’s piece the best it can be. I have never met a person with so much drive to make something, short of the big names in the theme park industry. For Caitlin’s first anchor space in a MeowWolf exhibit, she has owned this role and made the space the best in the entire space.”
