Latoya Flowers is a senior multimedia creative at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. In this role, she collaborates with exhibit designers, exhibit developers, illustrators, motion graphic artists, lighting designers and music composers to create immersive multimedia installations for travelling, temporary and permanent exhibitions
Previously, Flowers worked at the Adler Planetarium as a media producer, where she created linear media installations for temporary and permanent exhibitions. Some of her most notable work is creating immersive experiences using projection mapping, lighting and sound for exhibitions including ‘SUE: The T.rex Experience’, ‘Wild Color’ and ‘First Kings of Europe’. Additionally, Flowers served as the lead media producer for award-winning exhibitions such as ‘Death: Life’s Greatest Mystery’, ‘Native Truths: Our Voices, Our Stories’, and ‘Apsáalooke Women and Warriors’.
Latoya Flowers also mentors students, helping them to find a career path in creating media for museums through exhibit tours, internships and freelance opportunities. She has held career talks for students and educators from many organisations and institutions, and has been featured in numerous publications, podcasts and motion design conferences.
